Dr. Agnieszka Montgomery is a highly experienced Senior Clinical Psychologist with over 25 years of expertise in clinical practice and research. She specializes in psychotherapy for adolescents and adults, with extensive experience in diagnosing and assessing a wide range of psychological and neuropsychological disorders.
She completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Adam Mickiewicz University in 1997 and earned her PhD from Poznan University of Medical Sciences in 2016. She further enhanced her clinical expertise through advanced training and scholarships in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Agnieszka is licensed and accredited by the Department of Health (DOH) Abu Dhabi, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and the Polish Psychological Association.
Her clinical practice focuses on evidence-based psychotherapy using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. She provides treatment for anxiety and mood disorders, trauma-related conditions, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), emotion regulation difficulties, and psychosomatic concerns, adopting a strengths-based and client-centered approach tailored to each individual.
In addition to psychotherapy, Dr. Agnieszka conducts comprehensive psychological and neurodevelopmental assessments, including standardized evaluations of cognitive, academic, behavioral, and emotional functioning. She has expertise in assessing and diagnosing ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, intellectual disabilities, and neurological impairments.
As part of an international European Union expert team, she contributed to the development of the European Standards of Care for Newborn Health – Best Practice Guidelines.
In the UAE, she has previously worked with the American Center for Psychiatry & Neurology and Neuropedia, providing high-quality psychological care. She is currently practicing at Global Care Hospital, Abu Dhabi.
